I Challenge You

This is something I like to do sometimes... when and where I can. I think I like it most because it must throw people for a loop. Makes them say "huh? really?"

Of course, I always check the review view mirror (um, yeah, I actually meant rear view mirror. It's pretty cute when I try to be literate) to see what I am getting myself into. I'm not rich...

What is it? you ask?

I like to buy the car behind me their coffee when I go through the drive through coffee joint. I feel a bit like a geek when I do it, but what the hell. Right?

One time, actually, the first time I did this, I swear the car behind me tried to chase me down. I raced away giggling. I can't imagine someone being offended by it, but ya never know....
They might yell at me and say, "I can afford my own coffee you know!"

Crazy ass people. Then again, maybe I inadvertently bought Bill Gates his coffee, and he wanted to award my random act with millions of dollars-
but, I don't spend time dreaming of being awarded for my good behaviour.... No, not me (only a minor glitch in the process).

And so it is that I challenge you to do a RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS; because, it will make you giggle.

NOTE: Don't bother trying to plug someones parking meter in sight of the parking police, they just look at you with their screwed up evil parking elf face, pinched in negativity, and say, in that high whiny voice, "they're still going to get a ticket- " and laugh evilly.

And now, I'm going to go to all the blogs I can find and TAG YOU with it. (Insert evil laugh here because I can't seem to spell it- not unusual).

Oh, and... this has nothing do do with christmas spirit- cause I hate that shit.

AND PS: If I don't get to tag you, cause you never leave comments and I don't know who you are, or I just missed you but didn't mean to, I swear I am not arrogant and inconsiderate, consider yourself TAGGED.

I want to hear all your crazy ass stories when your done.Send me your link when your done so I can put it up here. Please remember, for me, that this shit doesn't have to be all flowers and pretty Oprah stuff.

Now get out there! And remember,
be careful out there (Hill Street Blues music here)

mantra: evil laugh (but not evil parking elf evil... the good evil laugh)

Thanks for tagging me. I'll get around to doing this at some point, but you may need to bear with me, as I have two other tagging "duties" to fulfill before yours. I like the idea very much, though!

And, oh, you can pop by my blog any time and ask whatever the hell takes your fancy about my line of work. I'm pretty unshockable, so I won't be offended.

Oo, I want to get creative with this one -- I'll need some time to think about it -- or maybe I'll just be inspired one day.

My last act of kindness was to help a pregnant woman traveling alone with two small children (holy crap, that's a bold woman!) get her bags, load them onto the airport push-cart and figure out where to meet her ride.

Does it have to be to a stranger? I shoveled for my elderaly neighbors/landlords yesterday.

But I kind of like the idea of doing something for someone I don't know.

Thanks for tagging me. I have never been tagged before.

You can do it to whomever you like, but I think it's fun to do it to total strangers

Damn it. I don't like being nice.

I don't think you tagged me, but that's OK. I know I don't comment much.
The thing I do often is if there is someone behind me in the grocery store with just one or two items I usually let them go ahead of me.
This act of kindness has only been reciprocated ONCE to me. but I still do it anyway, especially if it's a little old lady. I guess I hope that someday when I'm a little old lady someone will do it for me.

Hmm. Well, I got accused of only giving with strings attached this weekend. Guess it's a good time to practice anonymous giving. Hey Mantra, want a car????? ;-) Seriously, thanks for the tag.

Thank you for tagging me! I definitely want to do something... but can I be NOT creative and copy the coffee thing? I kind of like the idea... aaaaaaand I would love an excuse to visit Starbucks!

Anybeth... I totally didn't mean to NOT tagg you. You are definately TAGGED.

Hi Mama, thanks for rising to the challenge. You can do the starbucks one- it's the funnest! That's why I keep doing it.

Let me know how it goes. Remember to check the 'review' mirror (silly canadians).
